GoAI is for keeping honest, lawful books for real businesses. To keep it safe and trustworthy for everyone, you may not use GoAI, or let anyone else use your login, to do any of the following.
1. Unlawful or dishonest bookkeeping
- Keep false or misleading records, or create invoices, bills, statements, slips or financial statements that don't reflect what really happened, for example to mislead SARS, a bank, a lender, investors or a court.
- Hide or launder the proceeds of crime, help anyone avoid tax unlawfully, or finance unlawful activity.
- Use GoAI for a business, product or service that's unlawful in South Africa.
2. Information you're not allowed to use
- Upload personal information without a lawful reason to keep it, or use it in a way POPIA doesn't allow.
- Upload special personal information (such as health or biometric information) or children's information that isn't needed for your books.
- Upload other people's banking passwords, full card numbers or PINs. Bank statements should be uploaded as you receive them.
- Upload anything you don't have the right to use, such as someone else's confidential documents.
3. Security and access
- Share your login, password or 2-step sign-in codes, or sign in as someone else.
- Try to get into companies, logins or parts of GoAI you haven't been given access to, or to get around its security.
- Probe, scan or test GoAI for weaknesses without our written permission. If you find a security problem, please report it to us and don't use it.
- Upload viruses, malware or harmful files, or anything designed to damage or disrupt GoAI or other users.
4. Misusing the service
- Overload GoAI, for example with automated tools, bulk scripts or scraping, or interfere with other users.
- Copy, resell or rent out GoAI, or try to work out its source code, except where the law allows.
- Use the AI features to produce unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or to try to get around their safeguards.
- Use GoAI's documents (such as invoices or emails) to harass, threaten, spam or defraud anyone.
5. What happens if these rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, warn you, limit or suspend access, or close the login or company. Where it's reasonable we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your books. Where the law requires it, or to protect others, we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
